Ever since Maccabee saw his closest friend perform in a church program when he was 6 yrs old, he hasn't wanted to do anything else but be an actor. So he did everything he could to make his dream come true: working with veteran actors in summer stock, singing lessons to improve his voice, and gratefully being apart of a PBS documentary called The Odyssey of Lyman Johnson as an extra while in high school. These early experiences cemented Maccabee's love for acting and led him to Vincennes University, where he majored in Theatrical Production. Then 9/11 happened, and his dream had to take a backseat to the needs of his country. In 2005 he enlisted into the United States Army and served for 9 1/2 years with two deployments to Iraq. After being medically retired, Maccabee took time off from acting to go to school and study Supply Chain Management at Indiana University. When he began to miss being on the stage again, fate showed him a weekly web series called Critical Role, where a group of well-known voice actors sat around, rolling dice and playing Dungeons and Dragons. He took this new inspiration and ran with it. He purchased a professional home studio, began attending acting workshops and online coaching, and worked with clients to bring their projects to life. So if you want someone who can take real-life experiences and use them to bring your project to life with a voice that sounds warm and welcoming with a hint of grit, friendly and unassuming, distinctively interesting, with an increasingly mobile range, then Maccabee's voice is the right choice.
