Christina Goltare was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. Art in many forms has been an important part of Christina's life since childhood. She wrote her first poem at the age of 7 that she recited in a school contest, which won first place. She also enjoys sewing and clothing design. She entered a dress that she designed into a regional FHA contest in North Carolina, which won a first place award. She has a wide array of artistic interests that include writing poetry, drawing, painting, photography and singing. She is very good at mimicking voices, facial expressions and actions of other people. She also enjoys storytelling and reading to people of all ages. Christina is the fourth generation of Italian immigrants who immigrated to the United States in 1893 from Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi, a town in the province of Avellino in the Campania region of southern Italy.
